Prologue
Cira stood, waiting, in the cold.
Ever since the First War, life for the Pure has been a living hell. They fled to safer grounds, far away from the Faith - the race that had backstabbed the Hope and driven them to extinction - and had now forced the Pure to flee their home. Some books say they all fled underground. Some say they went extinct, like the Hope. And most parents say they were just a myth.
And you know what? The Faith aren't the only surface dwellers. The Love lived alongside the Faith, although on a lower rank; they generally lived in poorer conditions, and earned less pay rates, along with a large amount of racism being dished out on them. However, like the Faith, they are enemies of the Pure.
Cira kept waiting.
People say the Pure will return. People say, the Pure are planning their revenge, and will strike back at full force, and kill everyone on this miserable planet. Then, then they can have the whole place to themselves.
If only that were true.
Soft steps could be heard as Cira turned her head. There, behind her, stood the last Hope - their silver eyes shimmered in the moonlight under their large hood, which hid a pair of canine ears. They smiled.
"Where is it?" the Hope asked, a hopeful look in it's eyes.
Cira let out a breath, watching it dissipate into the air. Her ski jacket kept her warm in this freezing weather; she didn't have feathers like the Love, or fur like the Faith or the Hope - no, she was Pure.
Some Pure had stayed on the surface, despite their King's warnings. Even then, the Pure are said to be the most intelligent of all the races - hence why they fled, instead of meeting the Hope's fate. One day, our intelligence will free us from our cold, sunless prison, and allow us to purge the surface of the Faith.
Peace would reign over Pix once more.
With a smile, Cira gestured for the Hope to follow her, to which it hastily complied. They trudged along the dirt road, which was long covered in ice and snow, and made their way towards what would hopefully be their new home.
