((NOW DON'T WORRY I KNOW ABOUT THE SPLATOON UNIVERSE BUT CAN I PLEASE CONTROL EVERY SINGLE NPC KTHXBYE)) ((ALSO DON'T POST MORE THAN TWICE BEFORE I POST)) ((KTHX)) Merry casually walked through the park, her necklace glimmering in the daylight. It had been a rough day. Countless losses were achieved today, throwing her rank to C. From B+. Right now, she just needed a calming walk to cool herself down. Maybe punch a tree or two. ((post here! ))

Berryshine looked around. She was in some crazy place with... TWOLEGS??!!! Berryshine sprinted, looking like a streak of orange lightning. Because she was running so fast she failed to notice a twoleg. It was merry, unbeknownst to Berryshine. The twoleg spoke in a gugling voice which she could not understand a word of. She was terrified.

((o^o))
As Merry walked down the path, she suddenly noticed an orange blur bolt past. Now, this normally wasn't detectable to the eye for most, but as an E-Liter, her job is to notice any subtle or quick movements and eliminate the target immediately.
But what could it be? There was no trails of ink, and it was too quick to be a squid. Sighing in frustration, she watched as the blur hid behind a tree, and then walked towards it. What she saw baffled her.
There was an orange quadruped feline with patches of white printed onto it's fur - it reminded her a lot of Judd. In fact, it looked a lot like the ancient paintings and photos depicting Judd's species, and therefore, it was probably a cat. Man, does Splatfest help a lot.
Placing a hand on the back of her neck, she leaned down and spoke to the creature, hoping it would understand. "Uhh...hello? Are you lost?..."

Berryshine couldn't let this twoleg do anything. What it had said could mean anything. Still, twoleg behavior fascinated Berryshine, and this twoleg seemed different from others that she had encountered before. She tried to talk to it, "Uh, twoleg, where am I?" but the twoleg didn't seem to understand.

Merry listened to the distressed mewls of the creature, and sighed. It doesn't seem to be able to speak Inkling like Judd...
With a sigh, she spoke again. "Um, I can't exactly...understand you, so I'm going to take you to the plaza, okay? Someone there may be able to help you." She reached out with a hand, and stopped it in front of the creature's muzzle. Hopefully that didn't provoke it.

Berryshine jerked her head away from the twoleg. She had no idea what it was up to and she was not about to let it take her away to be a kittypet. No way! Only then did she wonder whether her friends were safe. The twolegs could have done anything to them. But these twolegs were different from the twolegs that she had known in the forest. Maybe they weren't twolegs at all but other creatures that walked on two legs. No! Surely these twolegs were the same! Berryshine didn't know whether she could trust it. But if it were the only thing she could do (as well as the last thing she would have preferred to do) she might as well trust it. But she wasn't going to do it yet. She wanted to test it first.

Merry frowned at how the creature reacted. So it can't understand me either...? This was frustrating. She's never had to deal with this! Jellyfish are easier than this! With a frustrated sigh, she brought out her shellphone and browsed her photos. Bringing up a picture of Judd, she showed it to the creature, and pointed at the park's entrance. Hopefully this would tell it that she was going to bring them to another of it's kind, so that they can communicate.

A kittypet?! Berryshine thought. I'll face anyone to get out of this crazy place, but can I trust this twoleg? She sighed, gathered up her courage, and followed the twoleg to the place it was pointing to. If it was a kittypet who was going to help her and her friends, then kittypet it must be.

Merry saw that the cat was willing to travel with her, at least. Took long enough... she sighed, and started walking towards the Plaza.
--10 MINUTES--
Merry stood in front of the entrance to the plaza. Throughout the walk, many gave a curious look, although nobody approached. "Thank Judd we didn't get into any trouble," Merry said as they walked through the gate, keeping discrete. A male inkling approached her almost immediately after she stepped through.
"Hey Merry," the boy, Kyle, said, "You up for a match?"
"Oh, no, sorry," Merry sighed, "I've already had a rough day of matches, and there's something else I need to get onto doing."
"Does it involve Spyke?" Kyle asked suddenly, to which Merry replied "no".
"Oh...well, remember to stay away from him, okay?" Kyle told her. And with that, he walked off.
With another sigh, Merry walked over to Judd's podium. He was resting on top, as usual.
"Hey Judd..." Merry spoke quietly, to which he opened his eyes, "There's someone here who you might want to speak to."

Berryshine watched pop-eyed at how the kittypet understood the twoleg. She also couldn't believe how it's tail looked. When she realised it was watching her, Berryshine figured that she should speak first. "Uh... hi, kittypet? Um... I found myself in this place and I need to find my friends and get out so... can, you, help me?" Berryshine meowed awkwardly. She couldn't believe she was asking a kittypet for help, but now the situation was desperate.

Judd sat up from his podium. Now that was a rare occurrence.
"Hello," Judd replied, "I haven't seen another cat in a long time. Do tell, where are you from?"

Berryshine was relieved that she could finally talk to a cat, even though it was just a kittypet. "I'm from a forest, which is most likely VERY far away from here. But the situation is I just found myself in this place, with no trace of my friends, and I really need to find them and get out of here. But I'd like to ask you, since I have the opportunity now, where am I? And what exactly happened to these twolegs? I mean, why are they mutant, as in why do they have fish-fur?"

"Hmm..." Judd pondered for a moment. "I am unfamiliar with the term "twoleg". If it is a similar creature to the Inklings here, then I will assume that they were prehistoric, or simply didn't exist here."
"As for where you are...you are in a city known as "Inkopolis"," Judd explained, gesturing to Merry, "It is where Inklings like this one live. You must be...awfully confused right now, if what you say is true. I can hunt for some fish for you, if you like."
