Hey guys! I've written a fan fiction, but it's about Spottedleaf, and I know how some of you are sick of me going on about Spottedleaf and now I've gone and written a fan fiction about her, blah, blah, blah, etc. So, my apologies! But I also know that some of you were pretty torn up about losing Spottedleaf in the warrior books. Including me. So I wrote this fan fiction in hope that it would cheer some of you up. It worked for me! Hope you guys like it! Here it is:
Firestar was alone. He was in Starclan, but his long lost Spottedleaf, whom he had hoped would join him in Starclan was gone forever, killed by Mapleshade and had faded away from existance. He let out a long moan. How he wished that he could see her one more time, and without his mate Sandstorm, he felt lonely. The other Starclan cats were a reasonable distance away, quite out of earshot. A yellow glow whizzed past him. At first, Firestar took no notice of it, but when he did he thought that it was a firefly. But he was wrong. Hundreds of these tiny lights were flying into each other, forming something and casting a strong light. Firestar quickly checked to see whether the other cats could see what was happening. They were oblivious to it and even if they weren’t, then they’d be too far away to see it. Firestar looked back at the strange light form. It was moving now, it had colour, it had eyes and fur and a face that was beaming at him. It was a cat. It was Spottedleaf. Firestar was stunned. Stunned by amazement and happiness. He couldn’t speak. But he did not have to, for Spottedleaf spoke for him.
“Hello Firestar, it is long since I saw you last”.
At that moment Firestar found his voice,
“Spottedleaf, how? I thought you were...” Firestar broke off and stared at the tortoise-shell cat in front of him.
“Gone?” Spottedleaf finished.
“Well, I'm not in Starclan any more, She mewed,
“at least it is that way to everyone else. But with you it is different” Spottedleaf waited, as if she expected Firestar to say something. But he remained silent, and kept staring at her.
“I can assure you that you're not imagining all this, I am quite real.” She continued. Only then did Firestar say something.
“Were you here in Starclan all along? Did you make this happen?” He asked her.
Spottedleaf's ear twitched.
“No, Mapleshade really did kill me, and I did not 'bring myself back'. I don't understand how this happened myself, but what I do know is that the other Starclan cats, let alone cats who are alive, do not know that I'm here. I am in Starclan, well sort of, but only to you.” She meowed.
“No one else can sense that you are here?” Firestar was beyond all of it now.
“Nope!” Spottedleaf purred.
“Not a sight, not a sound, not a scent. But if I were you, I wouldn't let them know” She smiled. Spottedleaf and Firestar sat gazing at each other for a heartbeat, and then did what they both wanted to do in a long time; they embraced, purring with their tails wrapped around each other. Firestar was pleased that Bluestar couldn't see him doing this. For a few moments he and Spottedleaf felt nothing but pure joy. Firestar could see the whole thing beginning to end. His long lost love was back, and Sandstorm would never know, no one would, only Firestar and Spottedleaf. Of course, Sandstorm would still be his mate, but Firestar and Spottedleaf would finally be together in Starclan. Only this time, no one could take her from him.
